Footwear Care

Cleaning
To prolong the lifespan of your Dunlop boots and overshoes, and to maintain their flexibility, appearance, and waterproofing, it's essential to keep them clean and free of debris, mud, or contaminants. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away dirt, as well as traces of calcium, salt, or other harmful substances. You can also use a soft-bristle brush and lightly rinse with water if needed. Avoid using soap.
Don't forget to clean the outsole to remove debris, maintain good traction, and prevent premature wear.

Drying
If the inside of your boots gets wet, remove the removable insoles and let them dry separately in a dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid placing your boots or removable insoles near a heat source, such as a radiator or stove, as this could cause them to deform.

Wear Indicator
Some Dunlop boots are equipped with a wear indicator on the outsole, allowing you to monitor the wear over time. This visual indicator helps you know when your boots are nearing the end of their optimal performance in terms of traction and protection.
It's important to note that not all Dunlop boots have this indicator. Among the models equipped with it are the new Purofort SeaPRO (Soft Toe and Full Safety), Purofort FieldPRO (Soft Toe and Full Safety), FieldPRO Thermo+ Full Safety, and Jobguard Soft Toe. By regularly checking this indicator, you can determine when it's time to replace your boots to ensure adequate safety and comfort.
